About the Role
Magna Exteriors develops industry-leading automotive technologies, including access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules (fascia), active aerodynamic systems, and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck, and industrial markets. This role supports manufacturing operations within Decostar Industries, a Magna Exteriors facility.
Responsibilities

- Follow all Decostar Industries health and safety policies and procedures.
- Attend all required job and safety-related training.
- Only operate equipment, machinery, or perform tasks after completing documented training.
- Participate in accident investigations, internal inspections, audits, and regulatory agency reviews.
- Do not modify or bypass safety-related systems on equipment or machinery.
- Report unsafe conditions, behaviors, accidents, incidents, or near-misses immediately.
- Complete pre-operational safety checklists before operating equipment or machinery.
- Inspect workplace conditions to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Support efforts to reduce environmental impacts of operations.
- Assist Process Technicians in routine checks to verify style/schedule agreement.
- Monitor robot and spray gun function, auditing key functionality indication equipment.
- Assist in refining manufacturing processes as required.
- Analyze and evaluate statistical data; complete documentation of activities.
- Troubleshoot production problems, performing DFT, color, and appearance/performance tests.
- Follow work guidance to measure and report departmental key performance indicators and non-conformances.
- Learn all jobs in the production area to enable job rotation.
- Perform daily job assignments per established procedures, work instructions, or supervisor direction to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participate in daily team meetings and contribute ideas to meet departmental objectives.
- Check parts for defects and non-conformance; report and redirect as per the control plan.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and return tools to designated storage areas at shift end.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Understand and fulfill health and safety responsibilities in the workplace.
- Follow all safety guidelines and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate potential or actual dangers to employees and set clear, written safety goals.
- Understand employee rights under the OSHA Act and prevent discrimination against employees exercising those rights.
- Cooperate with OSHA/State OSHA inspectors.
- Use appropriate PPE to set and maintain workplace safety standards.
- Know and maintain Decostar Industries safety rules.
- Understand general workplace health and safety regarding the public and visitors.
- Do not use or modify equipment that may endanger any person.
- Report unsafe conditions, injuries, accidents, illnesses, and property damage immediately.
- Ensure all employees are trained on machinery or equipment they use.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
- Frequent use of stairs.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Work near alcohols, solvents, paints, or plastic sanding dust.
- Work below the knees and above the shoulders as required.
- Good close-distance vision and color distinction, with or without corrective lenses.
- Ability to hear alarms, with or without hearing aids.
Training
Ongoing training will be provided concurrent with Decostar business operations, including safety, quality, continuous improvement, and job-specific areas essential to your role and business operations.
