About the role

Assemble products or components on a production line while ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency. Use various tools and equipment to fasten, fit, or cut parts in accordance with detailed instructions and blueprints. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in a fast-paced production setting. Perform quality inspections and complete required paperwork and documentation. Work collaboratively to maintain production flow and meet performance expectations.

Responsibilities

Dampers Workstation (Lines 1–3, 5)

  • Push carts of material to the wash platform.
  • Inspect each part (Line 1 and select parts on Lines 2 and 3) using a gauge to verify quality standards; only approved parts are loaded into the wash machine.
  • Load parts into the wash machine and monitor the process.
  • Assemble each unit with two bushings once parts exit the washer (typically in sets of three).
  • Place assembled damper into the welder, then transfer the part to the conveyor system.
  • Move the part through the fill station where silicone is added.
  • At the plug station, insert a plug into the silicone fill hole and weld the plug securely to complete sealing.
  • Install a tone ring when required, based on customer specifications.
  • Package completed parts using the appropriate materials and coordinate with the material handler for proper storage and shipment preparation.

General Production Expectations

  • Follow all quality standards and inspection procedures.
  • Maintain safe operation of equipment and work area cleanliness.
  • Ensure production flow remains consistent and efficient.

Paint Line

  • Remove parts from pallets and load them into the blasting machine to prepare surfaces for painting.
  • Monitor the blasting cycle and ensure parts are properly processed.
  • Transfer parts from the blaster to the paint line conveyor system for automated painting.
  • Unload parts after the paint cycle, inspect for defects (paint coverage and finish quality), and ensure all quality standards are met before packaging.
  • Pack parts using the appropriate materials and methods for shipment.

Paint Line General Expectations

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures when operating enclosed machinery.
  • Ensure consistent workflow to meet production requirements.

Fin Welder Station

  • Load the part onto the fin welder fixture and position the cooling fin onto the centering fixture to ensure proper alignment.
  • Initiate the welding cycle by pressing the start button and monitor the cycle for proper operation.
  • Remove the part from the fixture once the cycle is complete and inspect for defects, including weld quality and alignment.
  • Place approved parts onto a pallet for further processing or shipment.

Fin Welder General Expectations

  • Follow all safety protocols when operating welding equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ensure all parts meet quality standards before moving to the next stage.

Requirements

  • Good attendance, including working overtime as required.
  • Ability to safely and effectively operate in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend work instructions, communications, policies, job safety analysis, etc.
  • Basic mathematical calculation skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to reason, analyze, and troubleshoot issues on the job.
  • Ability to work as a team member, resolve issues collaboratively, and get along with co-workers.
  • Consistently meet production, safety, and quality standards.
  • Willingness to participate in daily pre-work stretching program.
  • Willingness to assume other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment as described in standardized work instructions.
  • Compliance with customer requirements (e.g., shipping instructions, packaging requirements).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
