Job Responsibilities
- Participate in safety activities to meet or exceed organizational goals and expectations.
- Be an active participant of developing and maintaining a culture of professionalism.
- Follow all rules, policies, or expectations.
- Cook up effective repairs and maintenance on facility crane equipment utilizing SAP.
- Coordinate daily and regulatory crane inspections as well as periodic load testing of each crane in the mill.
- Take care of daily work activities considering all operational priorities.
- Offer hands-on assistance to all maintenance staff.
- Train and evaluate all shift personnel regarding crane use and maintenance.
- Be part of the on-call rotation.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
Job Requirements
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification required.
- An associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working on industrial cranes.
- A strong background in AC and DC electromechanical and solid-state motor control systems.
- Competency in working with 480V 3 phase motor control systems.
- Mechanical experience with gear reducers and drive systems is a plus.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Experience with preventative maintenance and inspection to ensure crane and hoist reliability.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, and management.
