Responsibilities
- Participate in commissioning activities
- Aids in the CMMS build out
- Executes preventive and corrective maintenance mechanical work according to Venture Global Pipeline procedures, standards and regulations
- Identifies potential safety, health, environmental work hazards
- Understands maintenance work scope and applicable Operation and Maintenance processes and procedures
- Interprets P&IDs, and technical manuals
- Supports commissioning, startup, and shutdown activities
- Participates in root cause analysis and failure investigations
- Maintains accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Ensures compliance with OSHA, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Supports emergency response activities as required
- Functions as Maintenance SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Mechanical Maintenance
- Prepares and creates required Job Safety Hazard Analysis and Work permits under his/her area of responsibility (ePTW as applicable)
- Ensures permits are prepared and submitted to Operations well in advance before execution
- Understands maintenance work scope and applicable Operations and Maintenance processes and procedures
- Understands the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance mechanical work according to Venture Global Pipeline HSSE process, procedures, standards and regulations
- Provides tracking, status reporting, and project progress updates to project management
- Supervises contractor work execution, safe work completion, and performance according to Venture Global Contractor Management procedure
- Reports contractor work quality/non-compliance issues to direct Supervisor and Planning/Contract teams
- Responsible for population of Load Sheets associated with the workstream
- Functions as interface between Maintenance, Engineering and other Venture Global departments
- Supports Mechanical equipment factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) as required
- Supports various reviews during the Engineering and Design Phases, such as HAZOPs, 3D model and P&ID reviews
- Collaborates in identifying local suppliers for spare data/pricing information
- Responsible to populate missing core tag data in SPILs as required
- Responsible to submit MM creation based on vendor recommended spares where missing or as required for BOM development
- Performs periodic travel to project sites and consultant offices
- May be required to possess a commercial driver’s license, drive a company commercial vehicle and comply with all commercial vehicle regulations
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED (Technical degree or related field preferred)
- Experience: 5+ years of experience of maintenance mechanical technician work experience in Oil & Gas, LNG or petrochemical facilities
- Knowledge: Knowledge of mechanical industrial standards, code regulations (i.e. API, ASME - Process, NBIC pressure devices relief testing among others)
- Skills: Applied knowledge of maintenance and inspection of mechanical equipment, experience working scaffolding, painting, insulating, heavy equipment operation-rigging/lifting crafts, welding, fabrication, machining, etc.
- Experience: Familiar with CMMS systems work management process (Work order process), SAP experience is preferred, experience supporting small/medium scale mechanical projects, experience Maintenance planning and scheduling experience preferred, understanding of project development and delivery, experience in natural gas and/or midstream operations, applied knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting of dedicated application systesm such as, but not limited to, rotating machinery vibration and speed monitoring systems, experience in maintenance and troubleshooting, knowledge with CMMS systems work management process (Work order process), SAP experience is preferred, experience with MOC, PSSR, HAZID/HAZOP, periodic travel to project sites and consultant offices, TWIC holder or ability to obtain TWIC
