Technician - Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot and solve work-related problems
• Implement the preventive maintenance program for production machinery and equipment as directed by the Manager
• Performing routine preventive maintenance
• Maintaining the building equipment
• Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Follows safety practices and maintains housekeeping standards
• Able to crawl under space and confine space
• Good hand/eye coordination
• Good housekeeping skills are a must
• Excellent time management skills
• Self-motivator; ability to work with limited supervision
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to work in a team environment

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a craftsman, electromechanics, or maintenance technician experience
• Board certification or equivalent experience in one or more of the following fields: electrical wiring, welding, HVAC maintenance, pipe fitting, or hydraulics
• Excellent skill in all major areas of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
• Excellent skill in the repair of production equipment mechanical problems
• Excellent skill in milling of metals, servicing of boilers, mechanical troubleshooting and/or electrical troubleshooting, compressed air equipment, and painting
• Thorough understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations as they pertain to plant operation and maintenance
• Good experience with plant safety and fire protection systems
• Good experience using CMMS Software
