Position Summary
This position assists in the operation of multiple departments within the facility, performing a variety of tasks including setup, configuration, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems.
What you'll do...
- Set up and configure various low voltage systems such as security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, and network cabling.
- Run, terminate, and label cables according to project requirements and industry standards.
- Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability.
- Identify and resolve issues in low voltage systems promptly to minimize downtimes.
- Fix any faults or damages in systems, ensuring they are restored to optimal working condition.
- Provide technical support and training to end users on how to operate and maintain low voltage systems.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Generate reports on system performance, issues resolved, and maintenance activities.
- Evaluate existing systems to determine if upgrades or enhancements are needed.
- Perform system upgrades to improve performance or comply with new standards.
- Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Model compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must hold state and jurisdiction required certification and license for the state/jurisdiction of work.
- Reciprocal license may apply.
- Licensing requirements vary by state.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Prior work experience in role requiring knowledge of local electrical codes and standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- BICSI Installer Certification.
- CompTIA certifications for networking (e.g., Network+).
- Manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Axis, or Bosch systems).
- NICET 1 & 2 Fire Alarm certification.
- OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification/training.
- Technical training or certification in low voltage systems.
