Technician - Logistics and Material Handling Group

About the role
Fabricate, implement, test, and start-up Intralox Material Handling conveyor equipment, deploying solutions based on patented ARB technology. This role supports designs from conceptual phase through prototype, qualification, and production, and involves significant travel for system installations and field testing.
Responsibilities
- Set up and test system layouts for internal evaluation and customer demonstrations.
- Achieve customer requirements through theory, application, and use of the Intralox product line.
- Support designs from the conceptual phase through prototype, qualification, and into production as a member of the development team.
- Develop and promote LMH designs through application-specific testing using customer specifications.
- Support reports reflecting significant test results and methodology.
- Provide 2D/3D design support to sales/engineering teams for new test equipment and products for test/prototype applications.
- Support products designed by the team and other LMH teams in customer facilities (travel required).
- Assess feasibility of equipment in customer applications.
- Participate in ongoing design reviews and brainstorming sessions with other team members.
- Support other Intralox groups, such as Field Support and Installation (travel required).
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a technician/mechanic role.
- Self-motivated and organized with hands-on technical skills (tools, machinery, fasteners, etc.).
- Understanding of basic physics principles and equipment set-up experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive, proactive attitude with attention to detail.
- Proficient with hand tools and computer skills (Excel, Word, and other Microsoft products).
- Some exposure to CAD (AutoCAD and SolidWorks) is a plus.
- Travel required up to 50%, including weekend work when necessary. Travel will come in waves, with the highest volume during system installations and field testing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with team members, internal and external customers, management, engineers, and plant personnel.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and interest—ability to research, understand, and communicate concepts associated with a given technology.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and resources.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds safely and work standing for extended periods in an unconditioned warehouse.
- Exposure to electrical systems is a plus.
Qualifications
- College Degree(s) or Technician Certificate(s) are a plus.
- Conveyor installation experience is a plus.
