Primary Job Duties
- Inspect and maintain lighting equipment and systems;
- Maintain documentation of maintenance and inspection records as directed;
- work with the Manager, Production Lighting to develop maintenance systems and procedures;
- Program and operate lighting console for private events and performances as needed;
- Back up the lighting operators and other department operational positions as needed;
- Work with the Technical team to develop and maintain a safe working environment by representing the Production team in conforming to all established safety policies and procedures;
- Develop a thorough knowledge of all lighting department equipment specific to the production to operate equipment safely;
- Be an active participant in ongoing specialty training to master all theatrical lighting systems;
- Participate in special projects including the installation of new Lighting, Video and Audio elements;
- Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing & training.
Qualifications
- Field experience with repairs, troubleshooting, & the use of digital test equipment to affect such repairs;
- In-depth electrical and electronics knowledge and experience;
- Knowledge of various entertainment systems, consoles, fixtures, and control protocols such as: Art-Net, MA-Net, sACN, GrandMA3 (mode 3/Mode 2), Madrix, and Beyond Lasers;
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations;
- Computer skills and standard entertainment technology software experience;
- Ability to read and comprehend lighting system drawings, specifications, technical manuals;
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays;
- Ability to effectively communicate in English;
- Polished appearance and demeanor;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Able to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Preferred
- Technical-level knowledge and experience with digital and analog A/V technologies, i.e. A/V control systems, Broadcasting, A/V streaming and web-based technologies as well as other industry standard A/V technologies.
- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
- Previous experience working in Nightlife.
Minimum Education And Experience
- Must be 21 years of age.
- At least two years of audio-visual technology experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged sitting/standing;
- Bending and reaching;
- Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering items weighing up to 100 lbs;
- Eye/hand coordination;
- Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS) and other instructions.
