Technician - Level 3

About the role

Sunbelt Rentals—the fastest growing rental business in North America—is seeking a Technician. This role performs preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment to minimize downtime. Our fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment. Specialty lines locations may have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil & gas related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment
• Work safely and effectively to avoid downtime
• Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more
• Work indoors and outdoors as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Some trade school or equivalent training desired
• 5+ years of Technician experience with similar diesel, heavy, or specialty equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment) strongly preferred

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting
• Ability to provide tools of the trade
• Flexibility to handle changing priorities

Pay

Base pay range: $24.05 – $33.06 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on position, location, education, training, and/or experience.
