Technician - Level 3
About the role
Sunbelt Rentals—the fastest growing rental business in North America—is seeking a Technician to perform preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Our fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment. Specialty lines locations may have a fleet of large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems and oil/gas related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on a diverse fleet of equipment
- Maintain safety standards to minimize downtime and ensure workplace safety
- Work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment to build and develop skills
- Collaborate with an experienced team in a safety-focused environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of Technician experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred
Skills
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- May need to provide tools of the trade
The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
