Technician III - TSDF

Position Summary

Technicians typically work in an outside warehouse environment. Their primary responsibilities include loading and unloading drums, totes, and containers of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials from trucks. They sample the contents of these containers, consolidate drum contents into larger containers for processing, operate forklifts under company safety standards, and may perform basic lab-packing tasks at some work sites. They may also train new employees.

Principal Responsibilities

• Load and unload drums, totes, and containers of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials from trucks.
• Sample the contents of drums, totes, and containers.
• Consolidate drum contents into larger containers for processing.
• Operate Forklift under company safety standards.
• May perform basic lab-packing at some work sites.
• May train new employees.

Qualifications

• Ability to use heavy and light equipment, such as a forklift and a pallet jack.
• Skilled using hand and shop tools, and instruments.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
• Must be able to prioritize, stay focused, and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.
• Advanced knowledge of HAZ classes and waste codes.
• Ability to identify consolidation materials and streams.
• Advanced knowledge of the Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA).
• Ability to consistently and accurately complete outbound manifests.
• Ability to safely lead daily work teams or shifts.
• Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules set forth, promotes the Company’s safety standards.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for some positions.
• Advanced knowledge of EQAI Software.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4 or more years of related experience.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.
