About the Role
Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Colton, CA. We are a proud Second Chance employer that evaluates every candidate on a case-by-case basis.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, major, and minor repairs on hydraulic, electrical, ignition, and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel and gas engines, drivetrains, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, and ignition systems.
- Maintain a clean driving record as you may be in the on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 5-7 years’ experience as a diesel mechanic, with a construction, heavy equipment, or equipment rental background.
- Must have the tools required to perform repairs in this line of work.
- Experience with diesel and gas engines as well as drivetrains.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.
- DOT medical card is required (company can assist in obtaining one).
- Clean driving record.
Pay
Starting pay: $35.50 to $43 per hour, dependent on experience. Paid weekly.
Schedule
Typical schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM. Overtime based on business need.
