Technician II - Security

Job Summary

This Technician II Security position will provide efficient and high-quality installations related to Commercial integrated security systems.

Responsibilities

• Installs, terminates and tests equipment as per specifications and in conjunction with any pertaining building and or electrical codes.
• Responsible for training apprentices on Company procedures, systems, and installation techniques.
• Works with Project Managers, Field Engineers, and Lead Technicians on startup to ensure complete system compliance.
• Daily communications with Installation Supervisor on delays, requirements, and general status of jobs to ensure delivery of the project.
• Works with Installation Supervisor to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client and service department.
• Repairs, restores and tests all systems per specifications and in conjunction with any pertaining building and or electrical codes.
• Accurate written record keeping, submitted on time and complete.
• Maintains professional licensing as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Works at required heights utilizing ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or other.
• Works in confined spaces as necessary.

Required Qualifications

• PLT Certification : Limited Energy Journey Technician Certificate
• Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
• Minimum 1 year working in the Security Systems Integration space.
• Ability to read blue prints and schematics as evidenced by 1 year of experience.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite as evidenced by 1 year of experience.
• Aptitude for learning system programming as evidenced by 1 year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree (2 year) in a technical capacity
• 3+ years working in the Security Systems Integration space in commercial
• Proper hand and power tool operations and safety
• Solution practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision
• Organize workload for effective implementation
• Complete projects on time and on budget
• Write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
• Function as an effective team member
• Adapt as the external environment and organization evolves

Additional Information

• Compensation: $43.74 Union
• Working Hours: This position generally works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary
• Travel Requirements: Occasional Travel Required
