The Technician II supports efficient logistics operations by coordinating shipments, preparing documentation, and maintaining communication with drivers to ensure timely deliveries. This role utilizes automated systems, follows packaging specifications, and assists with loading and routing updates. It contributes to operational accuracy and customer satisfaction through attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual transactions relative to shipments.
• Coordinates and assists with loading of shipments.
• Prepares dispatch logs for drivers with routes, drops, and pickups.
• Maintains communications with drivers during the day and makes routing updates as schedules change.
• Prepares commercial bills of lading.
• Prepares IBSS paperwork.
• Ensures packaging specifications are followed per customer requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of shipping experience (preferred previous experience shipping to Applied Materials).
• Knowledgeable with automated shipping systems (FedEx, UPS, DHL).
• Ability to communicate effectively with crew members.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Knowledgeable in packaging and labeling materials.
• Follows and understands shipping procedures.
• Certified to drive a forklift.
• Ability to complete work assignments within the time allotted.
• Maintains and cleans workstation/work environment.
• Ability to read and understand written procedures.
• Proficient in MS Excel.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Work Environment: Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Physical Demands: Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. Ability to talk on the phone and use a computer for extended periods of time may be required.

Environmental Exposure: May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, and computers.

Overnight Travel: Work may require out-of-town travel depending upon assignment (training and meetings).
