Technician II Labs -Extractions

Responsibilities

• Perform basic laboratory tasks with minimal direction.
• Conduct all applicable corporate and laboratory quality control procedures and policies.
• Execute assigned methods for various product types.
• Prepare records (electronic and paper) in a timely and organized manner.
• Utilize laboratory information systems and sample tracking procedures.
• Work with MSDSs to handle various chemicals, solvents, acids, and bases.
• Contribute to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for work area.
• Crosstrain to alleviate workload during high sample volumes.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Suggest, test, document, and implement process improvements.
• Follow all safety and ethical guidelines.
• Support the team with weekly task rotations and assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with experience or demonstrated knowledge of work area.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to organize work and manage workflow independently and with a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Four-year degree in physical science with one year of applicable laboratory experience.
• Good organizational skills and ability to follow directions from multiple sources.
• Familiarity with quality procedures.
• Familiarity with general laboratory equipment and procedures.
• Experience with common laboratory tools (balances, pipettors, syringes, etc).
