Responsibilities
- Perform basic laboratory tasks with minimal direction.
- Conduct all applicable corporate and laboratory quality control procedures and policies.
- Execute assigned methods for various product types.
- Prepare records (electronic and paper) in a timely and organized manner.
- Utilize laboratory information systems and sample tracking procedures.
- Work with MSDSs to handle various chemicals, solvents, acids, and bases.
- Contribute to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for work area.
- Crosstrain to alleviate workload during high sample volumes.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Suggest, test, document, and implement process improvements.
- Follow all safety and ethical guidelines.
- Support the team with weekly task rotations and assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED with experience or demonstrated knowledge of work area.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to organize work and manage workflow independently and with a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Four-year degree in physical science with one year of applicable laboratory experience.
- Good organizational skills and ability to follow directions from multiple sources.
- Familiarity with quality procedures.
- Familiarity with general laboratory equipment and procedures.
- Experience with common laboratory tools (balances, pipettors, syringes, etc).
