UCT is looking for a talented Technician II to support efficient logistics operations by coordinating shipments, preparing documentation, and maintaining communication with drivers to ensure timely deliveries. This role utilizes automated systems, follows packaging specifications, and assists with loading and routing updates. It contributes to operational accuracy and customer satisfaction through attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety and company procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Performs visual transactions relative to shipments.
  • Coordinates and assists with loading of shipments.
  • Prepares dispatch logs for drivers with routes, drops, and pickups.
  • Maintains communications with drivers during the day and makes routing updates as necessary when schedules change.
  • Prepares commercial bills of lading.
  • Prepares IBSS paperwork.
  • Ensures packaging specifications are followed per customer requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned; responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of shipping experience (preferred previous experience shipping to Applied Materials).
  • Knowledgeable with automated shipping systems (FedEx, UPS, DHL).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with crew members.
  • Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Knowledgeable in packaging and labeling materials.
  • Follows and understands shipping procedures.
  • Certified to drive a forklift.
  • Ability to complete work assignments within the time allotted.
  • Maintains and cleans workstation/work environment.
  • Ability to read and understand written procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment.
  • Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
  • Ability to talk on the phone and use a computer for extended periods of time.
  • May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, and computers.
  • Work may require occasional out-of-town travel for training and meetings.
