Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Installs equipment including but not limited to IP based cameras, antennas, detectors, network equipment, controller cabinets.
- Install and troubleshoot electrical conductors, data conductors, fiber optic cables.
- Uses in-house software to troubleshoot system issues.
- Terminates conductors to equipment including CAT6 cables.
- Connects electrical conductors to power services to energize equipment.
- Tests multiple devices to ensure they work correctly.
- Enters detailed information on electronic work orders.
Education and Skills
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Associate’s degree desirable.
- Skills you will grow and perfect in this position: Repair skills, Network troubleshooting, Systems troubleshooting, Electronics troubleshooting, Technical documentation, Electrical Bench Test Equipment / Instruments, Soldering skills, Microsoft Software, Servers, Active Directory, Installation skills.
