Technician II

About the role

The Technician II – Manufacturing Automation Solutions is responsible for executing FAC product manufacturing and business requirements by applying electrical, pneumatic, and computer skills to deliver orders that meet customer expectations while upholding FAC quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Consistently achieves high quality when working on Product assembly, modification, and/or system integration from documentation (prints, illustration, and schematics)
• Display workmanship that meets process demand (including FAC standard, Customer specification, and/or appropriate industrial standards)
• Sequentially follow step by step instructions provided in Manufacturing Process Plan - Documenting all in-process checks
• Using engineering design documents – place, assemble, and secure robots and associated equipment in defined locations
• Move robot via teach pendant
• Load, upgrade, backup FAC software
• Define or teach simple robot path
• Test or functional verify Products and/or Systems as defined (PDE EX testing, Engineer releases or Manufacturing Control plans)
• Troubleshoot or debug mechanical/electrical equipment
• Disassemble and prepare FAC product and Systems for shipment
• Properly care and use of FAC tools and comply with Tool Management Procedure (check-out and return FAC tooling daily)
• Comply with all FAC Robot Safety Procedures (including but not limited to, Haz Mat, Lock out tag out and RSIS robot safety)
• Reliable and consistent attendance required

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years with relevant FANUC experience in manufacturing, machine building, and panel wiring
• Experience as an Automation Engineer and Line Builder
• Interpret and comprehend electrical and Mechanical engineering documentation, prints and/or schematics
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical/mechanical issues
• Knowledge of electrical or robotic systems and components
• Proficiency using hand and power tools for electrical
• Knowledgeable on ISO 9001 requirements
• MISOHA regulations (Lockout, Hazardous Material)
• Interpret and comprehend electrical and Mechanical engineering documentation, prints and/or schematics
• Maintain high level of professionalism in appearance, communication, and work area organization / cleanliness

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Technical Certificate in Robotics, Electronics, Mechatronics preferred
