About the Role
A Facility Technician performs servicing, adjusting, and repair of all types of heating, ventilating, control, air circulating, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration systems under general supervision. This role also includes performing related maintenance duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled technical duties involving the repair, maintenance, adjustment, replacement, and installation of HVAC-R systems.
- Handle skilled technical duties related to the repair, maintenance, adjustment, replacement, and installation of building automation systems.
- Repair, maintain, adjust, replace, and install building pumps and electrical systems.
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks and additional duties as needed, following departmental and property rules, policies, and procedures.
- Repair, maintain, replace, and install all types of lighting systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing and electrical systems, including toilets, urinals, sinks, lights, outlets, and switches.
- Repair, maintain, adjust, calibrate, replace, and install kitchen equipment.
- Conduct repairs in guest rooms and public areas.
- Respond to guest requests and in-house maintenance needs.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and refrigeration equipment.
- Use personal devices/cellular phones for job-related operational tasks and review of company documents.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Requirements
- Exceptional service and recovery skills when working with internal and external guests.
- Mastery in interpreting maintenance instructions, sketches, plans, blueprints, procedure manuals, and safety rules.
- Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, busy, and sometimes stressful environment; maintain physical stamina and a positive mental attitude.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of four years of prior experience as a Facilities or Maintenance Technician in a similar or related field.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to obtain a Nevada Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a large, luxury resort setting.
- OSHA 10/30, CPO, or EPA Certifications.
Physical Demands
- Ability to work in various environments (hot, cold, outdoors).
- Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
- Prolonged sitting/standing.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, and stand for extended periods.
- Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Eye/hand coordination.
- Ability to comply with policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS), and other instructions.
