About the Role
We’re seeking a hands‑on, tech‑curious, and customer‑focused Technician to join our Convention Services team. This entry‑level position offers the chance to launch a career in IT and telecom networking while working in a fast‑paced, event‑driven environment. You’ll be onsite at events, ensuring clients are connected and supported from setup to teardown, gaining practical experience with network hardware, cable installations, and real‑time problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Set up and support internet and telecom connections for exhibitors.
- Read event floor plans and translate them into network layouts.
- Install, configure, and test copper and fiber optic cabling.
- Troubleshoot wired and wireless connectivity issues.
- Conduct pre‑event site checks and post‑event breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations and testing.
- Provide responsive customer support during live events.
- Ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies.
Requirements
