About the role

The Electrical Technician installs, maintains, tests, and repairs electrical systems, equipment, and components in industrial, commercial, or manufacturing environments. This role requires strong technical knowledge of electrical theory, safety standards, and hands-on troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, panels, motors, and control circuits
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test instruments
  • Ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code), OSHA, and local safety regulations
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to resolve technical issues
  • Document maintenance activities, test results, and work orders accurately
  • Support installation of new equipment and facility upgrades
  • Maintain and calibrate sensors, PLCs, drives, and automation components

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in AC/DC circuits, motor control, and power distribution
  • Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
  • Familiarity with VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
  • Knowledge of conduit installation and cable management
  • Low-voltage wiring and instrumentation experience

Requirements

Typically requires 1–2 years of related work experience. Completion of high school, vocational training, or equivalent required.

Pay

Competitive base salary: $44,100 – $66,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location). Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits.
