About the Role

The Manufacturing Technician maintains production machinery in proper operating order through preventative maintenance and has demonstrated knowledge of up to 10% of SOPs within a specific manufacturing process. This role involves troubleshooting, repair, and improvement activities, as well as performing operator functions.

Responsibilities

• Check settings, gauge readings, and sensors regularly to keep machines operating at proper specifications.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines according to documented requirements.
• Make continuing visual and audible observations of machines to detect abnormalities.
• Tighten bolts and inspect belts and chains for wear and tear to ensure proper tension.
• Perform simple machinist duties such as periodic cleaning, lubrication, oil changes, and part replacements.
• Restore machines to correct operating functions and make mechanical and pneumatic adjustments.
• Recover all error codes using diagnostic tools.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
• Report faulty operations and defective materials to supervision.
• Support modifications to machines and processes to increase efficiency and production.
• Partner with operators on cleaning tasks, minor repairs, and adjustments.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of all work performed on equipment.

Requirements

• Working-level knowledge of the English language (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Must comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, which may include a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, or a full hazmat suit with respirator.

Qualifications

• Education: Basic/Required: Some high school education. Preferred: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience: Preferred: Minimum of 2 years in production or manufacturing.
• Skills: Preferred: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Core Principles: Preferred: Alignment with Panasonic’s seven core principles (contribution to society, fairness and honesty, cooperation and team spirit, untiring effort for improvement, courtesy and humility, adaptability, gratitude).
