Technician ESD Latch up - EAG Laboratories

About the role

EAG Laboratories, part of Eurofins, is seeking an ESD Technician for its Engineering Sciences lab in Irvine, California. The position supports ESD & Latch-up test services across various technology-based sectors, including consumer electronics, medical devices, automotive, military, aerospace, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Running weekly diagnostics on MK4, and Orion CDM testers
• Parts throughput on MK4, and Orion CDM testers
• Data result interpretation
• Processing image files
• Importing and exporting files from testers
• Moving parts with tweezers or vacuum pickup tools
• Packing tested parts for transportation
• Compiling images and information for reports

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: AA in electronics or related field OR HS diploma with 2+ years of direct experience in electronics testing using automated testers.
• Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Understands basic electronic packaging, uses a microscope, calipers, DVM, resistance meters, and oscilloscopes, understands safe handling of integrated circuits, uses a computer with proficiency, communicates clearly, maintains organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

• Remains in a stationary position 50% of the time
• Operates a personal computer or lab equipment for extended periods
• Uses a keyboard and other lab equipment, operates a telephone, accesses file cabinets, and other items stored at various levels, including overhead
• Communicates clearly and understandably
• Handles small and fragile devices with tweezers and/or fingers
• Wears PPE such as hard-hat, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, laboratory coat, and/or any other devices or equipment required
• Completes tasks independently, makes timely decisions, communicates with visitors, completes tasks in situations with a speed or productivity quota
• Moves equipment or items up to 50 lbs.

Pay

$25-30/hour. Pay range varies based on geographical location, years of experience, and degree of technical expertise.

Schedule

Initial schedule is a flexible swing shift starting at noon or later, 3-5 days per week. This is a contact part-time position initially.
