About the role
The Technician, Environmental Monitoring, plays a crucial role in maintaining a GMP compliant environment within Avid Bioservices, a leading clinical and commercial biologics CDMO.
Responsibilities
- Perform environmental monitoring (non-viable particulates, air viables, surface, temperatures) in cleanroom environments within the Manufacturing area.
- Perform environmental monitoring for aseptic filling processes.
- Operate monitoring equipment including Met One Laser Particle Counter, Viable Air Sampler, Conductivity meter, pH meter, TOC analyzer.
- Maintain and verify the operation of monitoring equipment.
- Maintain and monitor temperatures of Manufacturing and Microbiological QC temperature storage units.
- Collect and test Purified Water samples for TOC and conductivity.
- Input trending data for EM and water samples.
- Perform Cleaning Verification of cleaned production equipment.
- Perform Area Release per protocol for campaigned manufacturing areas.
- Notify and re-test alert and action OOL’s.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum two years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge or experience in a GMP environment preferred.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years’ experience in a GMP environment.
- Experience with environmental monitoring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
- Up to $20.52 to $27.35 hourly based on experience and qualifications.
- Base pay range: ($42,700-$56,900) plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.
Schedule
- This role is a full-time onsite position operating Monday through Friday on a 5x8 (5 days x 8 hours) schedule, with operating hours from 5:00PM to 1:00AM.
- Must have the ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays when necessary.
