About the Role

The candidate will conduct failure analysis to identify electrical and thermal mechanical package failures and support root cause understanding of new package technologies being developed.

Responsibilities

• Perform failure analysis to identify package failures (electrical and thermal mechanical).
• Support root cause analysis for new package technologies.
• Utilize skills in X-section/planar polishing, optical microscopy imaging, and SEM/EDX on printed circuit boards.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and technical writing skills.
• Collaborate effectively with a team under pressure while maintaining organization.

Requirements

• Associate degree (AS) in science or engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in failure analysis, material analysis, process development, or analytical tool development.
• Knowledge of packaging material properties and behavior is beneficial.
• Ability to stand and work for at least 6 hours.
