Technician, Engineering (Aerospace)

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company Policies and Procedures, Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS & EMS), Kawasaki Production System (KPS) and any other legal and compliance regulations that may apply.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and create shop drawings for the purpose of creating or modifying the design of production tools and fixtures for fabrication by in-house or outsourced.
  • Create or modify production process.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot initial equipment problems. Suggest countermeasures for system failures and implement and verify solutions for quality, safety, productivity and ergonomic.
  • Collect process data, make mathematical calculations and estimates to report on findings and/or make process adjustments, set up tests, meet quality and production requirements, assist in improvements and establish standard production.
  • Prepare equipment layouts and drawings to meet project.
  • Recommend revisions to methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, or other changes to increase production or improve.

Qualifications

  • A two-year associate’s degree in manufacturing technology or similar technical degree; or a combination of similar education and three years’ experience.
  • OR Current KMM employees: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) plus three or more years’ experience in a position-related field at KMM.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, email, AS400 and additional programs/software as necessary.
