About the role
This is a full-time, on-site role for a drone and sensor Technician. As a Drone and Sensor Technician, you will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), commonly known as drones, and the associated sensors used in various applications.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and configure drones, including frame assembly, motor installation, drone electronics, and wiring.
- Translate engineering specifications into physical assembly.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure drones are in working condition.
- Troubleshoot and repair any technical issues that arise.
- Perform electronics assembly on printed circuit boards. This includes manual and soldering oven assembly.
- Build sensor wiring harnesses.
- Perform pre-flight checks and post-flight inspections to guarantee safe and effective drone operation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide input for drone and sensor design improvements.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth project operations and timely deliveries.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with assembly/repair/manufacture of mechanical systems.
- Experience with electrical assembly or repair.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn.
- Strong connection to Idaho (apart from Skillbridge internship).
- Formal electronics assembly and repair training.
- Formal wiring harness assembly training.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance.
- Experience with manufacturing wiring harnesses.
