Ryder is hiring a Diesel Technician in Suncook, New Hampshire. This position offers a stable career with weekly pay and excellent benefits.
Responsibilities
- Assist and train Technicians as needed
- Provide customer service to daily customers
- Give feedback to the Service Manager on employee performance for appraisal or disciplinary purposes
- Oversight of parts distribution & inventory, shop reporting, warranty recovery, unit tracking, payroll administration, and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or Technical Certification, preferred
- Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Four (4) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
- Minimum Tech II up to Tech IV qualifications plus a minimum of 6 months supervisory or training experience
- Proficient in SMO, SBT, payroll system, warranty recovery, and employee handbook
- Thorough understanding of Unit utilization procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License and ability to meet Ryder's driving qualifications
- Ability to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations for roadside assistance
- Thorough understanding of Unit utilization procedures
- Ability to drive Ryder vehicles
Skills
- Basic tools
- Computer experience in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, internet and other related
- Maintenance computerized programs in order to create reports or communicate with customers, vendors and company representatives

Pay
Hourly Pay: $43.25 per hour
Schedule
Monday–Friday
First Shift 9:30 am – 5:30 pm

Additional Requirements
- Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
