Responsibilities
- Assist and train Technicians as needed
- Provide customer service to daily customers
- Give feedback to the Service Manager on employee performance for appraisal or disciplinary purposes
- Oversight of parts distribution & inventory
- Shop reporting
- Warranty recovery
- Unit tracking
- Payroll administration
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or Technical Certification
- Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including: Routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs, advanced skilled level repairs
- Four (4) years or more relevant work experience
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
- Valid Driver's License and ability to meet Ryder's driving qualifications
- Minimum Tech II up to Tech IV qualifications plus a minimum of 6 months supervisory or training experience
- Proficient in SMO, SBT, payroll system, warranty recovery and employee handbook
- Thorough understanding of Unit utilization procedures
