Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and service building automation systems.
- Program unitary controllers, area controllers, and web-based applications.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, commissioning, and general servicing of systems.
- Understand and interpret the sequence of operation for basic HVAC systems (CAV, VAV, Multi-zone, etc.).
- Maintain good communication skills and make recommendations for upgrades, repairs, and system improvements.
- Train end-users on operation of BAS and interact with IT professionals regarding web deployment.
- Knowledge of user interfaces, data servers, IP networking devices, protocols, routers, switches, and hubs.
- Perform other duties related to the commissioning and servicing of building controls systems.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of HVAC BAS systems (service, install, or maintenance).
- A vocational or associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, or a similar field is preferred.
- Solid understanding of HVAC mechanical systems (VAVs, chillers, boilers, WSHPs, etc.).
- Familiarity with major platforms is preferred: Tridium Niagara, Andover Continuum, Honeywell WEBS, JCI FX, BACnet, LON.
Pay
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $100,000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
