Technician - Baton Rouge
About the role
The ideal candidate will operate a 26 ft box truck for local multi-stop delivery routes, load, deliver, and install household appliances such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, cooktops, etc., safely handle equipment using dollies, lifting straps, and handheld tools, connect basic water lines, valves, and electrical components, use mobile devices to confirm deliveries and maintain accurate records, and provide exceptional customer service to homeowners, builders, and clients. This role also involves performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and following all safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- MUST be 21+ years of age
- Chauffers' license or CDL
- Operate a 26 ft box truck for local multi-stop delivery routes
- Load, deliver, and install household appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, cooktops, etc.)
- Safely handle equipment using dollies, lifting straps, and handheld tools
- Connect basic water lines, valves, and electrical components
- Use mobile devices to confirm deliveries and maintain accurate records
- Deliver exceptional customer service to homeowners, builders, and clients
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and follow all safety protocols
Qualifications
- Ability to lift/pull/push/load/unload/move 100+ lbs. using proper equipment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience driving box trucks or delivery vehicles (preferred)
- Familiarity with appliance installation tools and basic plumbing/electrical (a plus!)
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background check and DOT physical
