About the role

Located in Eureka, MO (63025-1949), the Audio/Visual (AV) Technical Support position oversees the parish's audio/visual systems and supports the successful execution of weekend Masses, liturgies, school Masses, and special parish and school events. The role ensures AV equipment is properly maintained, organized, and operated while providing training, guidance, and technical support to AV Technicians. The position requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals of varying technical experience. It is approximately 10 hours per week, with additional flexibility as needed for major liturgical celebrations and special events.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong working knowledge of the parish's audio/visual systems, equipment, and operational procedures.
• Monitor and maintain the audio system to ensure reliable and consistent performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve AV processes, procedures, and system functionality.
• Streamline AV operations and eliminate unnecessary or redundant processes within the audio system.
• Ensure AV equipment, workspaces, and storage areas are clean, organized, properly maintained, and ready for use.
• Respond promptly to audio and AV issues and provide or coordinate technical support to resolve problems.
• Troubleshoot unique or unexpected audio situations that may arise during Masses
