Looking for a career where you can learn new skills, help people every day, and be part of a supportive team? Midwest Eye Consultants in Noblesville is seeking a friendly and motivated Optometric Technician to join our clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with doctors and patients to help ensure each visit runs smoothly and that doctors have the information they need to provide excellent care.
  • Collect important patient information and histories.
  • Perform preliminary and doctor requested tests on patients.
  • Auxiliary eye testing.
  • Prepare patients for their eye exams.
  • Assist optometrists and ophthalmologists during patient procedures.
  • Cook up patient scheduling and help maintain smooth patient flow throughout the office while communicating delays when needed.
  • Prepare exam rooms by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment for both patients and staff.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the office manager, team lead, or doctors.

Physical Demand

Physical Requirements

  • Light work.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 15 pounds from floor to waist.
  • Ability to lift 5 pounds from waist to shoulder.
  • Ability to lift 5 pounds from shoulder to overhead.

Visual Acuity

  • To ensure accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness in assigned work.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for eye examinations by explaining the features and benefits of our preliminary testing procedures.
  • Perform preliminary and doctor requested tests on patients.

Pay
