Technician Assistant ER/ICU Overnight

About the role

VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists is seeking a full-time ER/ICU Technician Assistant to join their dynamic team. Located at 16756 SE 82nd Dr, Clackamas, OR 97015, the position offers a competitive salary range of $21 - $29/hr and flexible scheduling from Sunday to Wednesday, 8pm to 6am.

Responsibilities

• Triage of emergency cases
• Collecting and processing laboratory samples
• Preparing samples for outside labs
• Helping clients with the euthanasia process
• Answering telephones and managing medical records
• Additional duties as needed

Qualifications

• At least one year of veterinary experience
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Positive attitude and service orientation
• Proven decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Willingness to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• The ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with handling pets and related hazards
