About the role

Solenis is seeking a Service Technician to support sales and service efforts in the Akron/Massillon, Ohio area. The role involves conducting basic lab testing, equipment installation and maintenance, chemical transfers, process monitoring, inventory management, and customer support at industrial sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic lab testing
• Perform equipment installation and maintenance
• Handle chemical transfers
• Monitor processes at customer sites
• Maintain accurate inventory records

• Work safely in an industrial environment
• Perform routine testing and monitoring, including data entry and contributing to service report preparation
• Interface directly with customers to identify and address issues related to chemical programs or equipment performance
• Manage product inventory, including deliveries to process units and offloading chemicals into customer storage tanks
• Adjust chemical feed rates based on testing to ensure optimal treatment performance
• Alert site managers or support engineers to customer issues, operational concerns, or improvement opportunities; assist with troubleshooting
• Conduct expanded process testing to identify dosage optimization opportunities or mechanical impacts affecting performance
• Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot monitoring and feed equipment
• Partner with site teams and customers to ensure optimal program performance and customer satisfaction
• Perform mechanical and electrical equipment repairs as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial environment
• Chemical handling, water treatment, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance experience preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally throughout the Akron/Massillon territory

Pay

Expected compensation range: $58,030.00 to $85,107.00 per year, plus discretionary bonuses. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors permitted by law.

Schedule

Position is primarily Monday through Friday, day shift, with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed.
