About the role
You'll be based out of our Denver, CO service center and can expect to work in the field with up to 75% travel. Specialize in working on both low, medium, and high voltage switchgear including breakers with relays, motor starters, VFD’s, load break switches, transformers, load banks, and batteries. Install fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and other electrical equipment. Inspect circuits for specified shielding and grounding. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of relevant experience and/or training
- Proven knowledge of the principles of electricity and electrical design
- 8+ years of formal technical training
- 10+ years’ experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical switchgear, this will include both low volt and medium voltage power distribution gear
- Knowledge of protection relays and meters
- Positive, self-starter who enjoys working with others in a fast-paced environment to deliver consistent quality
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs
Other Essential Job Requirements
- Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
- Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
- Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground/floor level to full overhead level
- Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders
- Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs.), push/pull (80 lbs.), carry (60 lbs.), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.), stoop, kneel and squat
Pay
Hourly range $39.00-$50.00 an hour
