What You’ll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, and/or oil free air compressors.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and at customer locations and handle the repairs.
- Either work independently or team up with other technicians to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites.

Other Essential Job Requirements
- Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts.
- Ability to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices.
- Ability to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level.
- Good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders.
- Ability to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat.
