About the role
You'll be based out of our Denver, CO service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle. You'll work as a team or independently in shops and at customer sites to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products, including power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.
- Set up and operate equipment on customer sites, either independently or teamed up with other technicians.
- Calculate nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and read and interpret schematics.
- Obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card based on customer requirements.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
- Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed), and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods; walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require special assistive devices.
- Must be able to move extremities and spine through a functional range of motion to safely perform work from ground/floor level to full overhead level.
- Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and adequate grip strength to safely hold tools and stair railings or ladders.
- Must be able to lift (60 lbs.), push/pull (80 lbs.), carry (60 lbs.), climb stairs and ladders, and perform a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.), stoop, kneel, and squat.
- Must pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment.
Pay
Hourly range: $28.00–$33.00 an hour.
