Job Description Summary

Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Technician. This Technician role performs preventive maintenance and makes repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime.

About the Role

This role works with an incredible team of people in a safety-focused environment. They perform tasks such as servicing and repairing various types of equipment, including Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and specialty lines like large-scale power-generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and make repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime.
• Work with a variety of makes, models, and equipment, building skills through diverse experiences.
• Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management.
• Work with an incredible team of people in a safety-focused environment.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Some trade school or equivalent training preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or Oil & Gas equipment).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

• May need to provide tools of trade.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
