Technical Writer - GMD Weapon System (GWS)

About the role

Responsible for creating technical documentation for the GMD Weapon System (GWS).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain user manuals, operator’s guides, and other technical documents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, and marketing to ensure accuracy and clarity of technical information.
• Stay updated on system changes and incorporate new information into existing documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in technical writing or related field.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and systems engineering principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Experience with technical writing standards and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of technical writing tools such as Confluence or SharePoint.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate documentation.

Pay

• $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
