About the role

The Technical Editor / Writer position supports the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) in creating and publishing technical documents and manuals. Duties include collecting and interpreting technical data or information and coordinating layouts for publication across various life cycle stages of Army Enterprise programs.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the creation and publication of technical documentations and manuals.
  • Works with NETCOM to collect and interpret technical data or information.
  • Coordinates layouts for publication of technical documents and manuals.
  • Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned projects or tasks.
  • Uses Microsoft Office 2007 or higher editions, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and MS Project.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Requirements

  • DoD 8570.1-M Certification: None
  • ITIL® 4 Foundation Certification is beneficial, but not required.
  • Clearance: Secret
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in information technology field.

Qualifications

  • Education: AA/AS or equivalent experience.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
