About the role
In this role, you will disassemble and reassemble hydraulic products (pumps, valves, etc.), then document the process to create technical manuals. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking more desk work and less hands-on labor.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble hydraulic, pump, and related mechanical products.
- Reassemble products to verify functionality.
- Document each step for the creation of technical manuals.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on mechanical experience (e.g., auto mechanic, military, farming, or similar roles).
- Ability to disassemble and reassemble mechanical and electrical components.
- Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.
- Interest in transitioning to technical writing and desk-based work.
Training will be provided for technical writing aspects of the role.
Skills
- Automotive or mechanical repair experience.
- Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Attention to detail for documentation purposes.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00 per hour. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
