Technical Writer
What You'll Be Doing
- Create and support the technical documentation efforts of the Business Process Integration (BPI) department.
- Write, structure, and update technical documentation for systems and processes within the department.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Technical Analysts to understand and document complex business processes and technical solutions.
- Create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist users in understanding technology.
- Publish high-quality documentation that meets established standards and is appropriate for the intended audience.
- Present documentation for review, incorporate feedback, and make updates as necessary.
- Ensure documentation is clear and accurate.
What We're Looking For
- Build an understanding of the BPI department and systems.
- Contribute to BPI efforts to implement and maintain technical documentation management solutions.
- Work closely with team members and leaders within BPI to effectively document system architecture, technical processes, and procedures.
- Follow principles and standards for documentation that will contribute to the success of new deployments and post-implementation support.
- Produce high-quality documentation that meets established standards and is appropriate for the intended audience.
- Present documentation for review, incorporate feedback and make updates as necessary.
- Ensure documentation is clear and accurate.
What You'll Bring
- Excellent writing skills.
- Experience in technical writing or software documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to relay information well in both written and verbal form.
- Experience in writing and publishing a variety of documents to an equally varied assortment of audiences.
- Ability to grasp technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
- Well organized and consistently delivers on commitments.
- Able to validate your instructions with hands-on use of software tools and systems.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Able to interact professionally with diverse executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
