About the Role
Assist in preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides, manuals, and technical publications. Write technical copy for a wide range of documents supporting complex programs and projects. Apply technical writing concepts drawing from engineering drawings, technical documentation, and subject matter expert consultations.
Responsibilities
- Produce defense acquisition documentation, user manuals, training manuals, and other deliverables for government end-users.
- Interpret engineering and maintenance drawings, operational procedures, and technical data to synthesize and present complex information.
- Research highly technical subject matter, organize information from multiple sources, and express content clearly for diverse audiences.
Requirements
- Six (6) years of experience as a Technical Writer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or four (4) additional years of Technical Writer experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance.
- Experience coordinating layout and design of documents across all phases of the documentation lifecycle.
- Experience preparing reports, responses, and briefings targeting a wide range of audiences.
- Experience working with developers to produce quality documentation and training materials.
Pay
Competitive annual salary of $97,000 - $114,000.
