About the role

The Technical Writer will develop, write, and edit material for various technical and administrative publications, focusing on work methods, procedures, installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Create Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) using customized organizational templates.
  • Write, edit, review, and organize all technical written materials, including key sections, tables, exhibits, and attachments, providing graphic/layout assistance to ensure quality proposals.
  • Proofread, standardize, and edit solicitation sections written by peers and other writers on the proposal team.
  • Work closely with the Facilities and Logistics Services Support Team to coordinate deadlines and delivery schedules.
  • Create and update content for brochures, briefings, technical papers, and corporate website.

Requirements

  • An active and maintained “Top Secret” Federal or DoD security clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree; four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience writing proposals for Federal government work.
  • Familiarity with request for information (RFI), request for proposal (RFP), government acquisition contract (GWAC), statement of work (SOW), performance work statement (PWS), and other Federal government processes.

Qualifications

  • Non-disclosure agreement required.

  • Proficiency in writing and editing skills using MS Office.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize staff requests, and set expectations.
  • Attention to detail and effective professional correspondence.
  • Self-sufficiency and resourcefulness, ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
