In this role you will disassemble and reassemble hydraulic products (pumps, valves, etc.), then document the process to create technical manuals. This is a great opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals looking to transition from hands-on work to more desk-based technical writing.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble hydraulic, pump, and related mechanical products
- Reassemble products to verify functionality
- Document each step of the process for manual creation
- Create clear, accurate technical documentation and manuals
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on mechanical experience (automotive, military, farming, or similar)
- Ability to disassemble and reassemble complex mechanical products
- Electrical and mechanical experience
- Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills
Skills
- Technical writing (training provided)
- Mechanical assembly/disassembly
- Hydraulic systems knowledge (preferred but not required)
- Attention to detail for documentation accuracy
Schedule
- 4 days on-site in Waterloo, IA
- 1 day remote work from home
Pay
$25.00 - $28.00/hour. Individual compensation within this range depends on qualifications, skills, experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
