Responsibilities

  • Review and edit project deliverables such as technical documents, policies, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) specifically in the areas of 508 compliancy.
  • Stay up to date on Section 508 standards and best practices.
  • Edit functional descriptions, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables or document, conducting research and ensuring the use of proper technical terminology.
  • Prepare and maintain operations documentation, user guides, manuals and technical publications.
  • Prepare reports, responses, and briefings targeted to a wide range of audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in a related technical or clinical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
  • Experience with 508 technical writing required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Strong working knowledge of Federal documentation standards, processes, and 508 compliancy.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.
  • Able to travel up to 25% of the year, if needed.

Qualifications

  • Required Skills and Experience:
    • Bachelor's and 5+ years in a related technical or clinical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
    • Experience with 508 technical writing required.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
    • Strong working knowledge of Federal documentation standards, processes, and 508 compliancy.
    • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.
  • Desired Skills And Experience:
    • Cerner/Oracle Health experience strongly preferred.
    • Experience with Indian Health Service (IHS), Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), and/or Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) projects and documentation standards preferred.
    • Ability to handle small group projects as well as occasionally take the lead on large projects.
    • Working knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA) standards & practices.
    • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
    • Strong and effective communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Strong and effective attention to detail and highly organized.

Benefits

The likely salary range for this position is $74,800 - $101,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
