About the role

Pacific Office Automation is seeking a Technical VP Service to oversee our WA market service department. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in copier/printer repair, prior experience managing 25+ service employees, and at least 5 years of management or supervisor experience. They should demonstrate the ability to recruit, motivate, and train the technical force, evaluate costs of operation, establish work assignment benchmarks, and set compensation structures and processes that improve efficiency and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate cost of operation and establish work assignment benchmarks
  • Recruit, motivate, and train the technical force
  • Evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer service
  • Set compensation structure standards with the industry
  • Lead through influence across multiple organizational layers (managers, supervisors, technicians)
  • Build bench strength among service managers and supervisors
  • Implement continuous improvement methodologies
  • Focus on long-term planning and understand the elements of a P&L
  • Leverage analytics to drive operational improvements
  • Champion a customer-centric culture throughout the service organization
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams on account management and growth opportunities
  • Manage organizational change initiatives effectively
  • Communicate vision and strategy clearly to large, distributed teams
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, vendors, and partners

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in management or supervisor role
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, motivate, and train the technical force
  • Strong problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to set processes & procedures that improve efficiency and bottom line results

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years’ experience in copier/printer repair industry
  • Experience managing 25+ service employees
  • Understanding of what it takes to be competent and effective as a manager in the field
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with analytics to drive operational improvements
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with key customers, vendors, and partners
