Technical Training Instructor, Remanufacturing

About the role

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on maintenance and/or engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment with expertise in a wide variety of technical subjects. They will also have a strong desire to help build and maintain a world class training program in a dynamic industry-defining organization. This subject matter expert will have a passion for teaching others and achieving excellence through instruction and mentoring programs.

Responsibilities

  • Own onboarding and skill certification for remanufacturing technicians from day one through station readiness
  • Learn and stay proficient on core reman processes (including pack teardown and rebuild) so training stays accurate
  • Design and update curriculum, job breakdowns, and hands-on practice aligned to work instructions and quality standards
  • Deliver instructor-led and floor-based training using demos, practice, coaching, and clear safety expectations
  • Teach station quality and basic root cause / problem-solving; assess competence with written and hands-on evaluations
  • Partner with production, process, quality, and engineering so content matches real line needs and process changes
  • Track training completion and skill matrices in the LMS; keep training spaces/tools safe, organized, and production-representative

Requirements

  • Hands-on mechanical and/or electrical aptitude in manufacturing, assembly, repair, remanufacturing, or industrial maintenance
  • Proven ability to learn complex technical processes quickly and teach them accurately to others
  • Experience building or improving training curriculum, standard work, or job instruction (formal trainer role preferred)
  • Comfort teaching teardown, assembly, or repair-type work with tools, fixtures, and work instructions
  • Familiarity with basic root cause methods (e.g., 5-Why) and coaching them at technician level
  • Clear communication in a classroom and one-on-one on the floor; high bar on safety and sign-off standards
  • Self-directed, organized, and credible with technicians and engineers in a fast-paced production environment
