Job Description & Responsibilities
Persistent Systems seeks a Technical Trainer to join their team to support the Pacific region based out of Hawaii. The role involves developing, conducting, and evaluating customer-focused hands-on technical training programs for the company's Wave Relay® training courses.
Position Responsibilities
- Delivering comprehensive training programs for customer-focused Wave Relay® courses
- Developing training outlines, presentations, course handouts, and knowledge/skills tests
- Developing and conducting training effectiveness evaluations to continually enhance the company’s customer-focused training programs
- Evaluating and ensuring all training programs and courses meet business needs and quality standards
- Conducting needs assessments, anticipating future training needs, and planning accordingly
- Configuring and maintaining a Mobile MAC Training Kit of up to 20 MPU5s and accessories
- Field work with the PS International teams during periods between Training Events as necessary, such as demonstrations, customer equipment fielding, and/or trade shows
Job Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Qualifications: Technical degree or equivalent knowledge/skills, preferably in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Military Communications; experience conducting and evaluating customer-focused training; understanding of networking and IP scheming; willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time; ability to obtain and maintain a United States security clearance
- Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of radio frequencies (RF) and wireless communications; knowledge of mobile ad hoc networking (MANET); Networking Certification (Networks+, Security+, CCNA etc.); experience with Wave Relay® products; experience conducting training for both commercial and government customers

Pay
The base pay for this role can vary from $149,500 to $166,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
